Tiffany Sevilla (she/her) was born and raised in Los Angeles in a Filipino and Vietnamese family. From an early age her love of nature was cultivated by the Los Angeles Public Library’s excellent children’s programs, which gave her free tickets to the zoo and brought her face-to-face with a live bat. In high school she learned about the immense public health and social burdens throughout the world that are caused by a lack of access to safe drinking water, which prompted her to study environmental engineering at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. It was in college that she finally started to meet people who could share experience and tools that gave her access to outdoor activities like gardening and camping. She looks forward to sharing that experience and her love of the outdoors with other people of color in WA through the Outdoor Asian community.
