Outdoor Asian is of a different nature.

Our vision is to create a diverse and inclusive community of Asian and Pacific Islanders in the outdoors.

Our relationship with nature is multifaceted and ever-evolving. We gather around the fire to share stories with each other and build friendship.

We unearth our ancestors' histories within nature and the environment. Labor, art, spirituality, recreation, and diaspora are part of our families' stories.
​
We come from many different places and we aim to pay our respects to the Indigenous homeland we live on.
​
Our paths intertwine and intersect. Identities are intersectional and complex. We are diverse in gender, sexuality, race, culture, language, ability, citizenship and class.
​
We are hikers, but we also forage for mushroom, rockhound, climb, surf, fish, hunt and build sand castles. And sometimes, we just stay home.
