Saira Shahid

Saira Shahid is a second generation Bangladeshi American raised in Sacramento, CA. Saira received a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology at UCLA and worked in the Los Angeles ad industry before moving to Seattle to obtain a Master of Urban Planning at the University of Washington. Saira's love for the outdoors stems from afternoons playing in the backyard and family trips to national and state parks in the United States and abroad. Saira is extremely grateful for the community she's found through Outdoor Asian and is passionate about creating space for API and BIPOC folks to connect with the outdoors. You can find Saira hiking, running, reading, attending town festivities, and spending quality time with her cat.
